Day 28: Singaraja

Had to turn in our final packet today, which meant that we met as a group at 10am, and actually finished at 5:45pm, as in our usual group fashion. Regardless it was a great day with the group, I had tahu easy (sp.?) which is a fried stuffed tofu from the street carts. Delicious!

Tahu Easy and Watermelon Juice!
Also taught Dian and Putra how to use chopsticks! And gave them some American food I randomly had (altoids). At night we had our farewell dinner with the whole group, where we watched a video they had made of us, took tons of pictures and ate some pretty tasty food.

This charming hang sign means Seven in Bali!
After the sadness, we went to the beach for another bonfire and more talking. Dian was so sad that we were all leaving, and her tears rubbed off on me, but after we recovered she drove me home and we promised to meet again. All of the Balinese were so sweet and I really hope that they are able to achieve one of their goals and visit the US!

Had to pack up after as we are leaving for Ubud tomorrow. I can’t believe our three weeks in Singaraja went so fast, and it will be really weird to return to where we started the trip.
